STORMERS coach Allister Coetzee has praised his players for the "intensity and composure" they showed in the second half of their fine 27-6 win over the Waratahs at Newlands on Saturday.

And he believes that they can get even better when they face up to the Brumbies in Friday's Super 14 clash at Newlands.

The Stormers showed they had learned their lessons from the previous week's win over the Lions in Johannesburg.

A dreary second-half effort, wherein they failed to score a single point, resulted in them missing out on a potentially valuable bonus point against one of the weakest teams in the competition.
